WE THE PEOPLE

Working people, especially those that work in public settings, are some of the most overlooked people in cities around the globe, but at the same time are the people we engage with the most in our day-to-day lives. From fry cooks to electrical repair workers, these individuals keep the gears of society turning.

I ventured into this project wanting to explore human connection, and I came away with as much when I chose to photograph these strangers. I strived to show their unique and authentic personalities so the viewer may better appreciate the diversity of each craft necessary to the functioning of the city of Savannah.

I wish to continue this piece in a more in-depth manner in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and chatting with people I would not have otherwise interacted with in such depth. This project has certainly helped me be far less intimidated when shooting street-style photographs.
